African Union commission visit

As part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed in February 202 between AFROSAI and the African Union, a work visit of a delegation of the African Union Commission (AUC) was held on November 14, 2025 in AFROSAI’s headquarter in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco. 

On this occasion, a work meeting was organized between AUC, the members of the members of AFROSAI’s Executive Directorate and the representatives of AFROSAI-A and AFROSAI-E. 

Talks of this work day led to preparing an action plan draft to implement the MoU. The plan aims to bolster legal and institutional framework of African SAIs, to build their professional capacities and prop up their initiatives to achieve independence. It also sets out measures relating to recovering illicit assets and underscores the role of SAIs in achieving 2063 goals, AU’s long-term strategic framework for an inclusive development in the continent by 2063.
