Organization of the AFROSAI training session on the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and climate change

Lieu: Online - In-person (Rabat)

In accordance with its 2022–2026 Operational Plan, the AFROSAI General Secretariat announces the organization of two training activities in coordination with the Commission on Institutional and Technical Capacity Building (IT-CBC) and its Working Group on Environmental Audit (WG-EA), and in cooperation with the African Union. 

Through these two initiatives, AFROSAI aims to strengthen its member SAIs. In light of current economic changes, it has become crucial to equip our institutions with the necessary enhanced technical skills, innovative tools, and harmonized practices to further develop public finance auditing across the African continent. 

These sessions will provide an important opportunity for exchange and sharing of expertise to consolidate good governance, transparency, and impact on African citizens.

The organization of these two training activities is part of the following strategic priorities:

• The role of SAIs in implementing the AU’s Agenda 2063;
• Auditing climate resilience, adaptation, and sustainability programs.

Activity 1: Online Workshop

• Organizers and Partners: AFROSAI-CRC-IT / WGEA, SG-DIREX, AU-OIO
• Venue: Online
• Duration: 1 day – 23 June 2026
• Participants: Auditors with experience in the field of public sector auditing.
• Languages: English – French

Activity 2: Climate Change Audit

• Organizers and Partners: SG-DIREX, AFROSAI-CRC-IT / WGEA
• Venue: Rabat, Morocco
• Duration: 3 days – 20, 21 and 22 July 2026
• Participants: 30 auditors with proven experience in the field of public sector auditing.
• Languages: English – French
